NV Blanc de Blanc WC Exclusive
In March, Trump Winery hosted Wine Club members for a Dosage trial tasting with Winemaker Jonathan Wheeler. We tasted Brut Nature, Brut, Extra Sec, and Sec, asking members to vote on their favorite. After all the votes were counted, by far the most popular was the Extra-Sec.
We bottled only 40 cases of this wine club exclusive wine!
Tasting Notes:
The Blanc de Blanc Extra-Sec is 100% estate grown Chardonnay and aged 48 months in the bottle before it was disgorged. Adding a dosage to a level of 16 g/L sugar the wine still has the classic aromas of citrus fruit, pear, as well as brioche but is a bit more fruit forward with a floral bouquet and a soft but not overpowering level of sweetness. For a great pairing, try this with wine with spicy dishes as the hint of sweetness can soften some of the heat.
